I can't add a new domain to my Google Apps account
If you have received the "This domain name has already been used as an alias or domain,' while attempting to add a new domain to your Google Apps account" message, it means the domain already exists within your Google Apps account or within a different Google Apps account.
Here are some options to consider:
- If you recently deleted this domain from another Google Apps account that you manage, it can take up to 24 hours before the domain can be re-added to a different account (or 7 days if you purchased your account from a reseller).
- If it's been more than 24 hours, it could mean that some of the steps required to delete the domain were not completed. To verify the domain has been deleted:
- Sign in to the Admin console account from where you deleted the domain.
- From the dashboard, click Domains. Where is it?
- If the domain is still listed, it means it was not successfully deleted and you need to complete the steps to delete your primary domain’s Google Account.
- If you believe the domain exists inside a Google Apps account that you don't manage, and you're the current owner of the domain, contact Google Apps support to request for the domain to be cleared from our systems.
