Windows OS:- How to create your own OS Installation Disc with UltraISO

This will show you how to put program installers onto an operating system (OS) installer disk.

This is useful for creating a disk with commonly used programs, such as Skype and Chrome, already on it. It can also be used to put important drivers, such as wireless drivers, on the disk.

You may use another program but for this tutorial we will be using the program UltraISO. You may acquire it from this web site

  1. Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 1.jpg
    1
Open UltraISO. In the bottom left of the window, find the folder where you saved your installation image to.
  2. Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 2.jpg
    2
Locate the ISO in the folder you have just selected, in the section on the right hand side. Double click this to open it in the section above.
  3. Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 3.jpg
    3
You can now add files in two different ways, with the same results.
    • You can go to Actions in the UltraISO menubar. Then press either Add Files (Or press F3 on your keyboard) to add individual files one by one. Or press Add Directory to add an entire folder.
    • You can also simply click and drag the folders, from Explorer, into the UltraISO window where it displays your installation image.
  4. 4
You can save files in two different ways, with the same results.
    • Go to File and press Save (or you can press Control+S) if you want it to be saved in the same file.
Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 4Bullet1.jpg
    • Or click Save As if you want to save the ISO with the programs separate to the original. This can also be done by pressing the small disk buttons on the toolbar below the menu bar.
Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 4Bullet2.jpg

  5. Add Programs to an OS Installation Disc with UltraISO Step 5.jpg
    5
A small window will then appear whilst it saves. This is a lengthy process so be patient.
  6. 6
Congratulations, you have now created your own installation image with your desired programs/drivers!

Learn about Stats vs. Site Search Analytics Reports 'You can use both Custom Search and Google Analytics to get data for your search engine. However, the data in Custom Search may not match that in Google Analytics"

Stats vs. Site Search Analytics Reports

You can use both Custom Search and Google Analytics to get data for your search engine. However, the data in Custom Search may not match that in Google Analytics (see below). We recommend that you use the Stats page in Google Custom Search to get an accurate total number of searches conducted using your search engine. Use Google Analytics data to understand user behavior and track search quality.
There are two ways to get detailed usage information about your search engine.
  • The Stats tab of the Statistics and Logs page shows you popular queries for your Custom Search Engine. You can view this info by day, week, month, or year—even the entire lifetime of your search engine. The Stats page provides accurate data about the search usage and the total number of searches completed.
To display popular queries on your site (for example, to help searchers find popular pages), copy the code in thePopular web queries page and paste it into your pages.

  • The Site Search reports in Google Analytics provide data and metrics on how people use search on your site. If you already have a Google Analytics account (using the same Google Account you use for your search engine), we recommend that you configure these reports directly from the Custom Search control panel. The Site Search reports provide the following data:
    • Search usage: What did users search for on your site? Did they refine their searches? Where did they go after searching?
    • Trending terms: What are people searching for?
    • Pages: Which pages on your site have the most search usage?

Why doesn't Statistics data match the Site Search data in Analytics?

The Statistics data in Google Custom Search may differ from the data displayed in other tools, such as Google Analytics. Possible reasons for this include:
  • Google Custom Search / Google Site Search returns 20 results at a time. When a user does a search for [pizza], and then clicks on the second page of results (for example, to see results 21-40), Google Custom Search considers that click to be a second search for the term [pizza]. Google Analytics considers only unique searches per visit, and would count both as a single search. Similarly, if a user searched for [pizza] twice during a visit, Google Custom Search will count those as separate search.

  • Google Analytics tracks traffic only from users who have enabled JavaScript in their browser.

  • Google Analytics tracks visits only to pages which include the correctly configured Analytics Javascript code. If pages on the site don't have the code, Analytics won't track visits to those pages. Searches from pages that don't contain the Analytics code will still be tracked in CSE Statistics. The Custom Search Statistics page also tracks searches made from the search engine’s home page, while Google Analytics does not.

  • Once you add the Google Analytics tracking code to your site, Analytics will track usage from the time the code was added. The Statistics page in Google Custom Search shows the total number of searches since the search engine was created.

  • Google Analytics doesn’t track any searches that come from automated scripts you may be running on your site.

Customize your ads: Magazine style ads Magazine style ads are text ads that we convert and render as "display-like" ads. When a text ad wins an auction for an image-only ad unit, we render the ad in the magazine style format.

Customize your ads

Magazine style ads

Magazine style ads are text ads that we convert and render as "display-like" ads. When a text ad wins an auction for an image-only ad unit, we render the ad in the magazine style format. If you’re a publisher who prefers to serve “display ads only”, then you’ll benefit from magazine style ads as they open up additional demand for your ad inventory while also delivering the aesthetics quality of display ad creatives.
The same ads might also be eligible to show as richer text ads. Google determines whether to render an ad as richer text or magazine style based on performance and the availability of an image asset.
Note that magazine style ads are only applied to ad units that are opted in to "display ads only", and not to ad units opted in to "text and display ads".

Opt out of magazine style ads

You can use the enhanced display ads opt-out to choose whether or not you want your display-only ad inventory to serve magazine style ads. Note that opting out will also disable richer text ads.

Tracking magazine style ads

Magazine style ads are reported as text ads in the Ad types report.
